MERCY
HOSTS CANCER SURVIVORS CELEBRATION
April 23, 2010/Iowa
City, IA: Cancer survivors, their families and friends, health care
providers, and the public are invited to celebrate life at a special
event to be held on Saturday, May 1, from 1 to 3 p.m., Mercy Hospital
atrium, located the corner of Market and North Johnson streets.
The celebration will include guest speaker Pastor Alecia Williams
of First United Methodist Church of North Liberty. The event will
also feature music, refreshments, and social time. Attendees will
get to trim branches with ribbons of their choosing--color ribbons
representing the specific cancer they have experienced.
The Cancer Survivors
Day celebration is a free event sponsored by Mercy Iowa City, Iowa
City Cancer Treatment Center, and Cancer Care of Iowa City, LLC.
