MERCY HONORS TWO EMPLOYEES WITH DOVE AWARD
August 20, 2007/Iowa City, IA: Jeremy Ovington, and Steve Aldeman, are the two newest recipients of the DOVE Award at Mercy Iowa City. Jeremy Ovington has been employed in Mercy’s Intensive Care Unit since 1996. Steve Aldeman has been employed at Mercy since 2006 and currently works in Housekeeping.
Mercy’s DOVE Award (Doing Our Values Everyday) was created by the Spirit of Mercy committee in 1993 and has been awarded quarterly since then. Any employee may nominate another employee, with the nominations reviewed and awards made by Spirit of Mercy committee members. Employees who are nominated and selected are those who reflect Mercy’s values of respect, excellence, compassion, stewardship, and collaboration through their everyday work.
