Monday, June 29, 2020 - Mercy Home Health Care has earned the 2019 Superior Performer Patient Satisfaction Award

Mercy Iowa City Home Health Care has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for the second year, achieving an overall patient satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2019 calendar year.

“For the past four years, Mercy Home Health Care (MHHC) has been very focused on maintaining patient satisfaction scores at a consistently high level. Our clinicians review the survey results regularly to know how the care they provide is perceived by each patient,” said Renee DeJong, Administrator of MHHC. “This is the second year in a row we have been recognized by SHP for our overall patient satisfaction scores. This reinforces that our commitment to each patient’s experience by providing the best quality of care, is important and results in positive outcomes for them.”

The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge the home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients. The 2019 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall satisfaction score of more than 3,000 home health providers. With the largest HHCAHPS (Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) benchmark in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on its survey.

“SHP is proud to present the SHPBest awards to our top performing customers. We commend these organizations for their continuous focus on delivering the highest quality of care to their patients,” said Rob Paulsson, President of SHP.
