Upcoming support groups at Mercy
The following support groups will meet at Mercy Iowa City in the coming weeks.
Breath of Fresh Air Support Group: Monday, June 3, 7 to 8 p.m., Scanlon room, Mercy Medical Plaza. The Blue Zones community initiative will be discussed.
Continuing After Breast Cancer Support Group: Thursday, June 13, 7 p.m., Fanning room, Mercy Medical Plaza. "Teach the Doctor," discussion with Dr. Ingrid Lizarraga, Surgical Fellow, Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine.
Diabetes Education Support Group: Thursday, June, 6, 6 to 7 p.m., Scanlon room, Mercy Medical Plaza.
HOPE Cancer Support Group: Monday, June 10, 7 p.m., first floor conference room, Mercy Hospital. Tanner Goodrich, Administrative Director of Oncology Services, will provide an update on Mercy Cancer Services.
Stroke Group: Tuesday, June 4, 1:30 to 3 p.m., "Memory Lane," time to gather information about the group’s 26 year history and scrapbook. Tuesday, June 18, 1:30 to 3 p.m., "Group History Session," a continuation of work on the group’s history. Meetings will be held in the first floor conference room, Mercy Hospital.
