The new practice Mercy Internal Medicine opened its doors on Tuesday, May 1, at 2769 Heartland Drive, Suite 205, Coral West Health Center, in Coralville.

The physicians are providers, Drs. Michael Gomendoza and Carol Tan. They specialize in adult medicine and individuals living with chronic disease.

Dr. Gomendoza received his medical education from Far East Hospital in the Phillipines, completed his residency and fellowship at Coney Island Hospital, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Tan received her medical education from Far East Hospital in the Phillipines, completed her residency and fellowship at Coney Island Hospital, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
