Rhys M. Kavanagh, MD              
Dr. Kavanagh is our bariatric surgeon. He received his medical education from Dalhouise University, completed his residency at Dalhouise University, completed a fellowship at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and is certified by The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. Paul Pierson, DO              
Dr. Pierson received his medical education from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery and completed his residency at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.

  Nathan Schneider, MD, FACS                
Dr. Schneider received his medical education from the University of Iowa, completed his residency at Iowa Health Des Moines, and is certified by the American Board of Surgery and General Surgery.

Dr. Schneider is also the Medical Director for the Mercy Vein Center.
