Monday, April 15, 2019 - New Mercy Iowa City Infusion Center now open

IOWA CITY, Iowa (April 15, 2019)  - The new Mercy Infusion Center is now open and will care for patients receiving medications through a port or intravenously who were being treated in Mercy Medical Oncology or in other areas of the hospital for non-cancer medical conditions. The new Infusion Center features six semi private bays and four private treatment rooms. Free parking in the hospital ramp and valet service at the hospital’s main entrance is available for patients and visitors.

 

With the arrival of the new Mercy Infusion Center, Mercy Medical Oncology clinic patients will begin receiving care in two new locations. The new Medical Oncology Clinic will be on level 1 of the Mercy Medical Plaza connected to the hospital via the skywalk while the new Infusion Center will be in the hospital. Both Mercy Infusion Center and Mercy Medical Oncology will begin seeing patients in their new locations on Monday, May 6.

 

With its new location in the hospital, the Mercy Infusion Center will be more comfortable for families and friends who accompany patients for treatment. They will be close to multiple waiting areas, covered parking, the Gift Shop, cafeteria and can access free wi-fi.
