Wednesday, April 21, 2021 - ONE ReCORD: Mercy Iowa City announces name of new electronic health record implementation project

Mercy Iowa City announced the winner of a recent contest to name the implementation project for its new electronic health record (EHR). The organization recently selected the Allscripts Sunrise platform of health, run on Microsoft Azure, as the core EHR for its community hospital.

As Mercy Iowa City embarks on the implementation of the Sunrise solution, it wanted to select a compelling project name for the effort, one that reflected the Core Values of Mercy and the core traits of the solution itself: forward-looking innovation and the improvement of the care delivery experience through simpler technology. Mercy Iowa City polled its internal staff at the hospital and clinics, receiving many submission for leadership to evaluate. After careful consideration, the committee and Mercy Iowa City chose ONE ReCORD as the winner.

Mercy Iowa City is an acute care hospital and regional referral center that draws patients from throughout Eastern Iowa. Mercy’s medical staff is composed of more than 250 providers representing most medical specialties and many subspecialties. Many Mercy Iowa City clinicians conduct their outpatient practice in offices in the community.
