Brad Heithoff, MD
Dr. Heithoff received his medical education from University of Iowa, completed his residency at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN., and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Aviation Medical Examiner and Athletic Trainer.

Dr. Heithoff's interests include sports (especially the Hawkeyes), movies and reading. Outside of work, he also volunteers with the West Branch High School football team for the last 7 years working with the athletic trainers to provide medical care. This can include injury evaluation, treatment, and concussion monitoring. "My undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa was in athletic training so this is a way to use my knowledge and skills in sports medicine while at the same time being able to help our community."

Dr. Heithoff believes in forming partnerships with his patients, empowering them to make well-educated, thoughtful decisions about their own medical care. As he put this philosophy to work in his own practice, he has found that, "The art and science of medicine can be rewarding to both the patient and the medical provider."

  Thomas Novak, MD
Dr. Novak received his medical education from University of Iowa, completed his residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has certification in Geriatric Medicine.

Outside of work Dr. Novak enjoys: gardening, bread baking, making jams, hiking, canoeing, camping, flyfishing, and volunteering. He has volunteered with Rotary International on several trips to provide medical care in Guatemala as part of a cleft lip and palate repair team and Mexico.  He also volunteers providing testing and referrals for individuals with substance use issues, or who are at risk for hepatitis or HIV at the Iowa Harm Reduction Coalition.  He is also establishing a monthly foot care service at the Iowa City Catholic Worker House for those in need.  He would like his patients to know that he was born and raised in Iowa and he loves being part of a small town with agricultural roots. "Mercy can provide the best healthy care recommendations when we know our patients well and can look at all the aspects of their lives that impact their health."
  Kelcee Jarrard, ARNP
Kelcee received her BSN at St. Ambrose University, MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner at Allen College, and is certified by American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Kelcee understands the importance that patients are not just a number, but someone she listens to and gets to know.  What she would like her patients to know about her is she is "easy to talk to, you will not have to fear telling me anything because I will not judge, I am here to help."
