Guest Lodging

Guest Lodging is open with the following restrictions
  • 2 person maximum per room (one healthy adult visitor and one patient the day before their appointment) 
  • Temporary visiting hours: 8-10 a.m. and 3-5 p.m. Guests should remain in the guest room outside of visiting hours
  • No same day housekeeping services will be provided at this time
  • Payment of $35/night must be paid at check-in - If using cash, exact change is required
  • Check-in Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Weekend times will need to be scheduled through Volunteer Services Manager
  • Check-out (put room key in drop box on wall) by 11 a.m. 
  • Guests are asked to go directly to/from patient rooms to/from their Guest Lodging room. Dining in the cafeteria, roaming hallways and/or visiting patients outside of visiting hours are prohibited 
  • Masks are required in all areas of Guest Lodging unless you are in your Guest Lodging room

Mercy Hospital provides overnight accommodations for loved ones of patients staying at Mercy Hospital, or for those traveling for an early appointment the following day.

No nursing care, patient escort, or meal services are available in Guest Lodging. Guests must be completely independent or bring a caregiver if personal services are required.

Reservations
Reservations can be made by calling the Volunteer Services Manager, Jenna Maxson at 319-339-3659 or emailing jenna.maxson@mercyic.org 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Rates
Mercy Guest Lodging costs $35 per room per night. Long-term guests are entitled to a 10 percent discount starting with the 8th night. Room payments must be paid in full at the time of check-out or before and is not covered by medical insurance. Cash (exact change required), MasterCard, VISA, and personal checks are accepted.

Mercy Guest Lodging rooms include:

  • One full and one twin bed
  • Telephone and television
  • Alarm clock
  • Private restroom with shower
  • Free wifi throughout Mercy Hospital

In addition, guests are welcome to use the vending machines, microwave, refrigerator, and laundry facilities located in the Mercy Guest Lodging area.
