Imaging and Endoscopic Services Diagnostic services provided in collaboration with the referring/primary care doctors include:

  • All-digital mammography suite
  • Stereotactic breast biopsy
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and breast coil MRI
  • Nuclear medicine whole body scans
  • PET/CT scans and CT scans
  • Outpatient endoscopy
  • Ultrasound and endobronchial ultrasound

Finances & Insurance

Home Care Options
Through Mercy Home Care, nursing and other services can be continued at home after discharge from the hospital. Mercy's staff can assist with many dimensions of care, including:

  • Homemaker/Home Health Aide Services
  • Medical Social Services
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy

Nutrition Counseling
Mercy dietitians provide individual assistance with nutritional assessments, special dietary instructions, and basic nutritional counseling.

Pathology Services
Mercy offers both routine and specialized pathology services for cancer diagnoses. Immunoperoxidase staining is an example of a specialized technique; it is used to identify estrogen receptors in breast cancers. Fine needle aspiration is also performed by Mercy pathologists on palpable masses-that is, masses located under soft tissue that can be located by touch.

Rehabilitation Services
Physical, occupational and speech therapy are provided through Progressive Rehabilitation Associates, LLC. Phone 354-2429. Enterostomal nursing therapy is also available.

Social Services
Mercy Social Workers are available to assist patients and families with a variety of issues. Services are also available to assist people who are under insured or patients with needs such as food and housing.

Support Group - Continuing After Breast Cancer Support Group
This group welcomes women who are living with breast cancer; it offers a monthly meeting featuring educational presentations. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m., Fanning room, Mercy Medical Plaza.
