Dr. Pierson was born and raised in Mason City Iowa, decided to play college football at Luther College in Decorah IA, while obtaining a Bachelors degree in Biology. He spent time studying abroad in the Ecuadorian rain forest and Galapagos islands. He stayed in Iowa to attend medical school in order to be close to family. In his free time he enjoys travel, hiking biking, trap shooting, fishing and tailgating before Hawkeye football games.
