Friday, June 6, 2014 - Mercy Iowa City announces new alignment with physician group

Mercy Iowa City and Urologic Associates of Iowa City have announced that Mercy will acquire the urology practice and employ its physicians and staff effective July 1, 2014.

Health care providers in the practice are James McCoy, MD; Margaret Ekroth, MD; Luke Brunkhorst, DO; and Rikka Burroughs, ARNP. Urologic Associates of Iowa City has served the communities of southeastern Iowa for more than 50 years. The practice is located at 2943 Northgate Drive in Iowa City, and its health care providers hold outreach clinics in the communities of Washington, Mt. Pleasant, Fairfield and Muscatine.

Urologists provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for male and female patients of any age. Services include evaluation and treatment of bladder disorders, incontinence for both men and women, infertility in men, kidney stones, kidney disorders, management of diseases of male genitalia, prostate diseases, erectile dysfunction and cancer of the kidney, bladder, prostate and male genitalia. Services offered treat: bladder disorders, bladder cancer, infertility in men, kidney stones, kidney disorders, kidney cancer, prostate disorders, prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction and incontinence for both men and women.
