The Iowa City medical practice Neurological Associates of Iowa City, PC has joined Mercy Clinics effective August 1, 2016. The clinic’s new name is Mercy Specialty Clinics, Neurology.

“This is a gifted and highly respected group of physicians dedicated to their patients, with an excellent and experienced staff,” said Mike Heinrich, Interim President and CEO and Executive Vice President and CFO. “We are very pleased to have them join our Mercy Clinics group of specialty services.”

Neurological Associates of Iowa City was established by Richard Neiman, MD in 1976 and has continued to grow since that time. Health care providers in the group are R. Tyson Garrett, MD; Richard Neiman, MD; and Jennifer Stern, MD. The associated Mercy Neurodiagnostic Sleep Lab will continue to have Todd Ajax, MD as its medical director. 

Clinic hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. All of the providers are accepting new patients by medical referral. The offices will remain in their current location in the Mercy Medical Plaza, 540 E. Jefferson Street, Iowa City. Outreach clinics are provided in Muscatine by Dr. Neiman and Dr. Stern, and in Mt. Pleasant by Dr. Garrett. Appointments in the Mercy Neurodiagnostic Sleep Lab located in the hospital can be scheduled through provider referral.

The Mercy Clinics network includes family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, urgent care, neurology, general and bariatric surgery, cardiovascular surgery, urology, medical oncology, occupational health, pulmonology, gastroenterology, thoracic and vascular surgery and plastic surgery.
